Audemars Piguet left no doubt of its wide popularity in watch industry. Its products which were showed on AP`s exhibition at SIHH 2011 have gained a big success. Well, the new ROO models which contain the brand new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore steel watch also win a great deal of faithful fans. Have you noticed that this new watch provides a clearer legibility than the former collection of ROO watches?
Just like the Royal Oak Offshore Grand Prix Collection produced by Audemars Piguet last year, this model is powered by the AP Caliber 3126/3840 self-winding watch movement which has a long history. However, it is still trustworthy and reliable. Once you experience its good performance, you will admit it. Watch lovers will be glad to see its 22-carat gold wind rotor which is partially skeletonized. After anthracite galvanic treatment, it looks smart and elegant. Decorated with Cotes de Geneve motif, its plate is grained. You also can see the snailed and beveled edge on it.
Like other Audemars Piguet watches, the case of this model is made from stainless steel. The octagon-shaped bezel made from black ceramic is screwed together with the case by eight polished steel screws. The crown on the right side and the counter push buttons are made from the black ceramic as well. It is a kind of composite material which can resist the scratch and high stress from outside.
If you want to choose a watch to match your business attire, I don’t think the AP ROO is a good choice. It is a perfect sporty watch. The case, measuring 44mm in diameter and 14.43mm in height, looks too big to go well with your wrist.
Offered only in a limited edition, this watch almost cost you €22,000. Although I am eager to have one, my limited budget allows me to consider replica Audemars Piguet watches.
